Nothing like movie night at home with the family after a long week! The kids were so excited because one of the students in my class gave me a little chocolate fondue treat for Valentines Day which included chocolate, marshmallows and pretzel rods! Yummy!
They have been planning this movie night since Monday. We enjoyed our treat while watching Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Today was lunch with dad at Ethan's school, so Curtis surprised him with some up his favorites. He really doesn't get to eat lunch with him much because his class eats at 10:30. That's more like brunch, right. I know that Ethan was happy to have lunch with his dad today!
Wow, this has been a busy day! The kids woke up ready to go! They were excited about sharing their Valentines with their friends at school. Everyone was in a great mood for an early Monday morning. We started off the day with a few photos of the kiddos in their Valentine clothing. When we got home from school the kids got their Valentines from us! We had a family candlelight dinner (soup with heart-shaped PB and J sandwiches). Curtis thought it was a little cheesy, of course, but the kids loved it! So blessed to have such a wonderful family that loves spending time together. Curtis and I would have felt guiltly going out without them!
Today we celebrated my nephew's 1st birthday. Paxton was a little unsure what he was supposed to do with his cake at first, but quickly figured it out. He was so cute with his faced covered with icing. He even put his face in it. He had a jungle theme and his cake had giraffe print on it. It was absolutely adorable as well as delicious. I pray that God will bless him with many more birthdays. I think he had a great day and I know that he will sleep well tonight! McKinley and Ethan are so blessed to have cousins that live close by. Tomorrow is his REAL birthday. He is our Valentine Baby! We love you PAX!!!!
The cake was so cute!!
This was the cake he tore into!
He's really getting into this!
McKinley and Ethan just love their little cousin Paxton!
Well today was a day of firsts. This is our first post on our new family blog. Our little man, Ethan, lost his first tooth today. You realize that your baby is really growing up when this happens. He was all smiles all day and couldn't keep his tongue out of the hole. He finally was brave enough to let me pull it. I guess the tooth fairy will be visiting the Matthews house tonight. Oh, Boy!!
We are The Matthews! We have been happily married for 13 years. God has blessed us with two precious children that we thank him for everyday. This blog is all about the crazy life of our family.
